Nearly five years ago, I met this awesome Padawan in an annual competition between Jedi institutions. He was the school representative. And since a terrible mistake dragged me into the game, we were thrown to play in the same team. I was new to the institution, while he was already halfway through his training towards Knighthood. For the lack of a role model, I was predisposed to like the first senior who would blow my mind. A natural wit he was; he did.
But ladies and gentlemen, I am very sorry to tell you that I am not going to deliver a story here. So let me break the momentum, and show you instead why and how he earned a legitimate space in this petri dish.
It took him eight years to become a Jedi Knight. For some people, the journey could be longer, maybe nine or ten years to get there. He had made invaluable contributions, dedicating many of them to the development and success of those who came after him. For an upperclassman, he took a big step. And for that, minions, we should be grateful.
This is his most important legacy.
